Sea Battle With the Lady Washington, the Hawaiian Chieftain and the Aldebaron
1-11-03

The Lady Washington, the ship which played the role of the Interceptor in the Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean, was in San Francisco on her way to southern California. Aboard the Royaliste, we approached her, planning to make our attack. When we closed in on her, we were glad to see that she had been joined by the Hawaiian Chieftain. The Royaliste fired her swivel gun as she approached to state her intentions. What ensued was one of the spectacular sea battles ever held on the San Francisco Bay!
All three ships fired upon one another, each manuevering to make the more deadly shot down the bow or stern. There was much good-natured taunting tossed back and forth between the ships as we battled it out on the water. We were soon joined by the Aldebaron, who joined us in the melee! Ah, t'was a fine day to be a pirate!!!
